Dog says, “I love you!”

I have written in the past about dogs smiling when they are happy (Your Dog Just Might Be Smiling At You). Yes, it really is true! When your dog acts happy and looks like he is smiling, he really is. I have even written about the love your dog feels for you (Does Your Dog Really Love You?), but this is different.

This pup takes his emotions one step further and actually says, “I love you!” to his owner.

If you have to see it, um, I mean hear it to believe it then check this out!

Top 10 breeds that bite

I believe that a dog’s disposition is greatly determined by how the owner treats and trains the dog, but the CDC recently published a list of the top 10 dog breeds that are most likely to bite a postal worker.

This list was put together based upon data from last year regarding dog bites and postal workers. I own a Rotty and a Doby, and both are gentle as can be, while our neighbor owns a Golden Retreiver that would bite without warning if it had the chance.

Don’t let this list give you the wrong impression of these breeds, or a false sense of security with other breeds.

1. Pit Bulls
2. Rottweilers
3. German Shepherds
4. Huskies
5. Alaskan Malamutes
6. Doberman pinschers
7. Chows
8. Great Danes
9. Saint Bernards
10. Akitas

The Fido Float Life Jacket lets your pet dog enjoy the water while you relax, worry-free.

The Fido Float Life Jacket is easy to spot in bright orange and yellow to choose from, and the collar also floats to help keep your dog’s head above water. The back is zippered full length for easy on and off.
The straps are adjustable for a perfect fit, and the leg holes in the front allow the life jacket to fit nicely and snuggly around your dog’s mid section. The life jacket is also contoured to fit your dog’s belly without twisting.

Handles on the top of this life vest allow you to pull your pet from the water safely

FruitSummer brings with it outside picnics, celebrations, and lazy days at the beach. Fruit trees are abundant, and cold drinks kept handy. Be extra diligent when it comes to your dog’s health by keeping clean, fresh water available for him, as well as a high quality feed that meets his active summertime needs. It is also important that you are careful with what your dog does not eat as well.

You should NEVER feed your dog the following foods:

Apples, cherries, peaches, plums and apricots all contain seeds that have a substance that is cyanide based. Different amounts are fatal to dogs.

Avocados are poisonous for dogs. The bark, fruit, pit, and leaves are all very toxic.

Baking soda and baking powder both cause electrolyte imbalances that can can be fatal.

Chocolate contains an element that is fatal to dogs in large doses.

Alcohol can poison your dog; even small amounts of alcohol.
