Measuring Your Dog or Cat
1. Length from collar to base of tail. This measurement lets you know how the coat will fit the length of your dog or cat.
2. Distance around the girth, just behind the front legs. Your dog or cat should be standing square, not sitting.
3. Always round up to the next even numbered size if your dog or cat is big boned (or a little thick) and round down to the next
even numbered size if your dog or cat is slimmer.
General Sizing by Breed
- Small Dogs (Sizes 8-18) – Beagles, Miniatures, Toys, Spaniels, Terriers
- Medium Dogs (Sizes 16-24) – Collies, Dalmations, Pointers, Schnauzers
- Large Dogs (Sizes 22-26) – Pinschers, Retrievers, Shepherds
