When your dog has a bad hair day

Every once in a while, things may go terribly wrong at the groomer and your dog comes out looking, well, less than perfect. Animal psychologists agree that your dog feeds off of your emotions and it may be best to pretend he looks perfect even if he doesn’t (at least when he is listening).
When you smile and tell your dog how pretty he looks, he gets excited and happy.
Even when things do not go exactly as you had planned at the groomer, your dog is clean and soft and cuddly. Let him know what a charmer he is and snuggle him close. All he wants is to be close to you and your family, especially on bad hair days!
It may be best to carefully select a groomer by visiting several and watching how things are done before scheduling an appointment for your dog. Also, be very specific about exactly what you would like the groomer to do to your dog. This may help in avoiding surprises when you pick your dog up after the grooming is completed.
