Signs that your dog is healthy

We all have seen dogs that make us smile when we watch them. They have bright shiny eyes, a shiny coat, a great appetite, playful and interested in the environment, and full of zest … they are just fun to be around and watch! Kind of what we would call “the perfect dog.” These are all indicators that your best buddy is strong and healthy.

When you begin noticing changes in your dog’s attitude or lack of interest in things he used to love, his eyes are not as sparkly as usual, his appetite is weak, he has trouble maintaining his ideal weight, his coat is lack luster, and just does not seem to be having fun and enjoying life, it may be time for a visit to your vet. These changes in your pet may be an indicator of an underlying problem or condition.

Keep a watchful eye because you know your dog better than anyone, and if you notice changes check with your vet to be sure everything is o.k.
