The brightly colored red breast and social behavior of the House Finch makes it a favorite in many gardens with feeders. The House Finch feeds on seeds, dandelions, sunflower seeds, and berries. They are partially migratory and will tend to stay near a favorite feeder even during winter months. They stay with their flock and enjoy each others’ company. The House Finch’s song is sweet and pretty continuous throughout the day.
