Thanksgiving safety for you dog

Many veterinarian offices and animal clinics are closed on holidays, so it is important to be extra careful with our pets during these times. In addition to having these services not available, holidays offer many dangerous situations for pets. Pancreatitis is a serious condition that can occur without warning; triggered by scraps and food that we share with our pets. Try to feed your dog only pet food and treats. Turkey bones are hollow and can choke your dog or splinter and cause bleeding. Sweets like chocolate can be life-threatening.
Try to use good common sense for safety with your dog this Thanksgiving and your pet will be happier and even more thankful to have you as an owner!
