SNIF Labs of Boston has come up with a high-tech way for pet owners to keep track of how much exercise their dog is getting while their owner is at work. The preliminary release of this lightweight tag is scheduled for November, at a cost of $199.95.
This tag by SNIF(Social Networking in Fur) has a computer chip that monitors your dog’s motion inside and outside your home. “When the dog is out,†said Noah Paessel, chief executive, “the computer on the tag is running and collecting information on walking and trotting, and storing it in memory on the dog’s tag.â€
This tag can also be used to help you track what other pets your dog seems to enjoy being around, and if you wish, you can contact the owner of the other pet to exchange information. The tag has to be on each pet to have information exchanged in this way.
