The 2007 Westminster Dog Show was held this week and the Best In Show was awarded to an English Springer Spaniel named Diamond Jim.
The English Springer Spaniel is a medium-sized dog originally used for sporting purposes to flush out game for hunters in England. This flushing out was called springing, giving the Springer Spaniel its name in 1902. This particular breed is very athletic and a great performer. The reputation of the Springer Spaniel is one of a great companion.
